Soulja Boy is back making headlines to start the new year. Young Drako stopped by The Breakfast Club for a riveting interview Wednesday morning (Jan. 16), that touched on just about everything, from his past feuds to why he believes his comeback was the biggest news of 2018. When Drake's name was brought up, Soulja immediately got up from his seat and told the trio he's the one that taught Drizzy everything he knows.
"Y'all n----s better stop playing with me in here," the "Crank Dat" rapper began when talk turned to his "We Made It" collaborator. "Stop playing like I didn't teach Drake everything he knows." Soulja Boy then continued to rap some bars from the 6 God's "Miss Me," claiming he ripped the title and lines directly from his "What's Hannenin'" record that SB released back in 2007. "Don't act like I didn't make Drake," he said.
The SODMG artist made it clear he wants some respect from the industry for paving the way for new artists and giving them the blueprint to using social media. "I had to take them bullets. Everyone doing what I did. They laughed at me and now they doing exactly what I did and now I'm being shunned," he explained. "I'm the reason why all these artists have social media, y'all should thank me. All y'all record labels, you owe me five percent."
The 28-year-old was in promo mode with the recent releases of his Fuego mixtape following a new deal with E1, as well as his controversial gaming SouljaConsole, the free gaming device that he recently pulled from shelves after claiming millions in sales, but which could potentially land him in some legal trouble with Nintendo.
